Bar Takito – West Loop, Chicago

Last Saturday, I was invited with a guest to check out the new brunch menu at Bar Takito in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood.   Since I had such a lovely lunch there last September, I jumped at this opportunity to catch up with my good friend, Demetra, and her daughter over a Latin-inspired brunch.

I don’t know about you but I will go far out of my way for a great cup of coffee.  I am disappointed that there are only 1 or 2 coffee shops or cafes in my neighborhood other than Starbucks and Dunkin’ Donuts.  I would much rather support small, local businesses than hand over more money to the corporate giants

Weber Grill – River North, Chicago

Grilling season is upon us.  Last night I was invited to taste the new Spring menu at Weber Grill Restaurant in Chicago’s River North neighborhood.  Anxious for some charcoal-grilled, tasty bites, I hopped the CTA Red Line for a lovely dinner with some fellow bloggers.
